41st Walk & Roll for Hope

Beginning in 1970, the Walk & Roll for Hope is the oldest fundraising event in Alaska.  This is a pledge-based, walking, biking and roller-blading event that takes place in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley, while being offered as a virtual event for the other regions and for those who cannot attend in Anchorage, but would like to be a participant. 

 

April 10 - Mat-Su Walk & Roll for Hope at the Menard Sports Center in Wasilla.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event beginning at 9 a.m.

 

May 1 - Anchorage Walk & Roll for Hope at the end of Delaney Park Strip in Anchorage between 9th and 10th Avenues.  Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event beginning at 9:00 a.m.

11th Annual Hope Golf Classic

June 10, 2010 - This is a four-person scramble golf tournament offering loads of fun, good food and great prizes for everyone!  Join us at the Palmer Golf Course and see for yourself! Open to all levels of players.

15th Annual Hope Auction

Saturday, October 2, 2010 - This auction has something for everyone!  The event is open to the public, free of charge, and features a wide variety of valuable items, including artwork, travel packages, jewelry, dining and personal care gift certificates, and much, much more.

3rd Annual Kodiak Heart of Hope Dinner & Auction

This annual event took a "a deadly turn…”  in February 2010 when a murder mystery became the focus of the evening.  On Friday, February 5 several members of the Kodiak community assumed the roles of some shady and not so shady characters, to uncover who "murdered" Big Papa, a generous benefactor to Hope.  I was a very exciting night of murder and mayhem!  For more details to to Hope's News Room.
