DSP Appreciation Week

We are excited to announce an upcoming celebration – Direct Support Professional (DSP) Appreciation Week! From September 8th to 14th, we'll be honoring the incredible work of the hundreds of direct support employees here at Hope.
Direct support providers are at the heart of in-home and community-based disability services. They provide essential support that empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to lead full, independent lives.
They play an essential role in helping people with I/DD achieve their goals—whether it's finding employment, building connections with family and friends, or living independently in the community. Their efforts and compassionate care are at the heart of everything we do at Hope.
DSP Appreciation Week is a great opportunity for Hope and all community members to highlight the dedicated, innovative, compassionate direct support workforce that is the heart and soul of supports for people with disabilities.
We invite everyone—support recipients, their families, staff members, community partners, and friends—to join us in showing appreciation for all the DSPs in our community. Your participation and encouragement is meaningful to those who work so hard to make a difference in the lives of others.
Let's take the opportunity this week to unite in gratitude and recognition for the DSPs at Hope and across the nation who deserve year-round recognition for their hard work and endeavours.

We invite you reflect on the meaningful impact our DSPs have made in your life or the lives of your loved ones. Whether it's a heartwarming anecdote, an uplifting story, or an expression of gratitude, please share your positive experiences about one or more of our outstanding DSPs below. We will compile these heartfelt expressions and share them with our DSPs.
