Anthony PatariniDirector of Information TechnologyAnthony "Tony" joined Hope’s team as the Director of Information Technology in 2015. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry, with experience as a software support technician and IT supervisor, as well as a formal IT education from King Career Center. At Hope, Tony is responsible for everything IT-related; as he likes to say, “If it has a power cord or network cables, I’m in charge of it.” He takes pride in ensuring that the organization's operations run smoothly and securely, and he has made significant advancements in Hope’s security measures, such as implementing multi-factor authentication and decommissioning obsolete servers. Tony has a personal connection to the work Hope does and has witnessed the challenges and struggles faced by the families of people who experience disabilities. Knowing that organizations like Hope provide much-needed support for individuals and families further fuels his dedication to the work he does. His values strongly align with those of Hope, particularly in the areas of individuality, choice, and self-directed living. He believes in empowering people to live their own lives and values the opportunity to contribute to that mission through his work at Hope. While his focus has been primarily in information technology, he has a previous background working for the school district in the Boys and Girls Club's childcare program. This experience allowed him to work directly with children, fostering a deep understanding of the importance of providing a supportive environment for individuals of all ages. Originally from Pennsylvania, Tony moved to Alaska in 2000 and has been an integral part of the community ever since. While his work commitments keep him busy, he also remains fully engaged with his wife and two children. |
